We stopped to eat lunch in Weatherford, TX - sort of our old stomping grounds (our hometown is just 19 miles north of Weatherford). While we didn't go downtown Weatherford - we stayed on I-20 - it was amazing to see the changes there. We stopped on the corner of I-20 and Hwy 51 and could not believe the amount of new stores there. I thought it was wild when they put in a Home Depot there but now - its like a whole mall there now. Incredible amount of growth and so much traffic!!!

Anyway, after lunch we hit the road and arrived at Monahans Sandhills State Park around 6 PM. It is a really nice park, the camping sites are a bit small but do have water and electric hookups. Several sites are pull-thrus but the rest are back-ins. Tables are covered but some sites you have to share the cover with your neighbor's trailer. We didn't have a lot of time to explore the park, but did drive around before we left on Sunday.Route from Dallas to Monahans Sandhills SP
