I bought one for a pattern at the Portales (New Mexico) Peanut Festival back in October. Finally had a chance to make a few - once I got it down, they were a snap to make. Untie the ribbon and the basket will lie flat for storage.
I call them cookie or candy baskets:

Love your baskets. I brought a similar one back for my Mother In Law from France. Once again, I'm almost inspired to learn to sew...in all my spare time. But how fun it would be to make these as gifts. Fantastic idea!
Raymona, these are just great! I bet there are patterns for them at fabric stores -- I may try making some for next Christmas. Thanks for all the pictures!
