Jan 1 - A special visitor
Yesterday we had a very special (not to mention rare) visitor to our backyard - the New Mexico State Bird - the Roadrunner. He politely perched on our patio wall while I snapped photos as fast as I could. I was able to get within 2 feet or so of him and was able to get some terrific shots of this elusive bird. We were very excited to see him again this morning too - sunning himself near our front patio (no pics of that tho).

What a good bird to stay there for you. I tend to run off to grab my camera and miss all the action! I'm sure that this is a good omen for the coming year at your house.

Thanks guys. I'm tickled over them... although we didn't see him this morning. :-( Hopefully, when Mom's dog is gone, things will calm down and he'll return. Pressie & Jake have been running circles in the yard playing.
